Artist Highlight

"I was born in Matanzas, Cuba. My parents worked very hard to leave the country and bring us to the land of opportunity. Among all the lessons they taught us by example, I learned that hard work and perseverance pays off.  I studies business and got my BA and MBA. After 15 years in corporate USA working in sales, marketing and management working with companies like Cox Enterprises, Colgate-Palmolive and Eastman Kodak, I left the corporate world to raise a family. Shortly after I found jewelry making and the rest is history.  I take pride in offering my clients excellently crafted artisan jewelry that is unique and wearable. I take inspiration from nature and the outdoors, landscapes, leafs, flowers, the ocean.  I believe in simple beauty without clutter.  I find great joy in working with my hands, moving and forming metal and working with unusual gemstones to create beautiful wearable objects. As a self taught artist, I brought my perseverance from the business world to my art.   I've learned through many books/articles and workshops from experts in the field.  I'm grateful for the opportunity to learn from these individuals who willingly shared their expertise and thankful for my tenacious desire to learn and perfect my skills. My work has continued to evolve over the past 12 years as my skills advance and my fans continue to put trust in my art work.  I create airy, flowing designs and mix textures, colors and shapes.  I work in sterling silver with accents in karat gold, semiprecious gemstones and pearls.  My mission is to share my gift of art by creating artisan jewelry that is beautiful, wearable and also deserving of a compliment"!
