"I started working with paper collage as a result of a year of several difficult personal events that I needed to overcome and express in my Art to process and move on.
I tear paper from various magazines into small and tiny pieces of different shapes. One by one I apply them onto a canvas like brush strokes of different colors, creating the scenery. Letters, short words, and sentences are incorporated to symbolize the title and mood of the artwork like hidden messages. My heart and soul is in my Art.
The subject inspiration is the Florida nature and colors. The purpose of each Art piece created is to convey inner strength, positive thoughts, and the things we treasure like having fun, enjoying music, dance, nature, family, and friends."
