About Tony Jacklin
Tony Jacklin C.B.E born in Scunthorpe, England on July 7th, 1944. With over 30 career victories including the British Open and U.S Open back to back Tony Jacklin took European golf to a new level. Tony Jacklin was also the most successful European Ryder Cup captain of all time.
Tony has loved working with wood all his life. He started marquetry as a hobby in 1957. It has been a lifelong passion.
What is Marquetry
Marquetry is the art of piecing precisely cut veneers together to form a picture, pattern or design. Marquetry was taken seriously in France after the mid-seventeenth century and used to create luxurious furniture to decorate the royal residences of Louis XIV.
