"As a photojournalist based in Terra Ceia Island, Fla., located on the southern shoreline of Tampa Bay, I cover news and professional sports for Reuters, the Associated Press and other news agencies on assignments throughout Florida, the Southeast, and U.S., editing and transmitting deadline images from on-site locations.
In addition to editorial work, I often photograph wildlife and landscapes, stopping to capture moments or scenes whenever they catch my eye. Life is connected to water, so are many of my images. The photos are taken in, on or around water. Mostly scenes from Florida, others captured while covering assignments as a photojournalist.
My finished art works are a combination of two skills I’ve pursued and developed throughout my life, photography and carpentry. When I’m not hunting for images, I’m hunting for salvaged wood, which I repurpose to make unique, custom-built frames, enhancing the visual experience of my photography.
