Scott & Vicki Supraner have been professional ceramic artists since 1989. After graduating from the State University of New York at Purchase, they relocated to the Shenandoah Valley in Virginia. There, they established the Hawksbill Pottery taking the name Hawksbill from the local mountain and creek where their first studio was located.
Hawksbill Pottery produces a unique collection of handcrafted stoneware. Each piece is embossed with original designs and hand painted with lead free glaze. All pieces are ovenproof, dishwasher and microwave safe. Unlike earthenware, stoneware has been fired to 2300 degrees Fahrenheit vitrifying the clay to create a strong and durable finished product. If cared for properly, your piece should last a lifetime and be enjoyed by generations to come.
Scott also creates one-of-a-kind ceramic wall reliefs made of interlocking tiles. He has a website dedicated to these pieces.
