Robert Padgett
Painting
Brianna

Roberts interest in art began while watching and admiring his mothers drawing skill. She would draw his sisters very beautiful paper dolls and designed for the dolls very fashionable clothing.

As a young boy he had a strong desire to be an architect and followed that desire in high school, enrolling into the drafting class. He was excited with the class and his teacher saw great promise in his ability.

After high school Robert attended ITT Technical Institute graduating with a 3.89 in Industrial Drafting. In his continued education he received a certificate in Commercial Art where he studied color, design, and the art of drawing.

The drawing came naturally, most likely genetic. His eye for detail was kept alive in his life long career in the graphic arts field. In May of 2002 he started painting in water media under the guidance of Judi Dazzio at the Arts Center in St. Petersburg Florida, now The Dazzio Art Experience.

Roberts work can be viewed in many local venues where his exciting approach to design and color are sought after. He has been juried into several shows receiving a top award in the St. Pete Pride juried exhibition.

Robert loves working in watercolor and added acrylics. His natural style is surrealism where he enjoys developing the detail and dimension of each painting. He constantly explores new ideas and media including working with abstraction.
