"When I was little, my grandmother would take me for long walks in the forests and fields of Connecticut. It was country back then. We would stop to look at every leaf, flower and insect along the way. She taught me of the beauty of life and the things that God has given us. That is where I learned to appreciate the beauty of everything around me. Through many years of dealing with the effects of war, pain and death, I lost my desire and some of that talent to paint. After having 2 amazing children and 4 wonderful grandchildren, I have the desire once again to show that beauty of life in paintings and to create something in which my children and others can find their own happiness. The memories of our past are what make us who we are. I like to pass those memories on."
