Jewelry

I have always had an artistic background, but found my true calling is jewelry. I never would have realized it until I ran my first marathon. I fractured a bone in my foot at mile ten and somehow found myself to the finish line. My husband was going to purchase a piece of jewelry to commemorate my first marathon. By the time I finished the jewelry vendor was long gone. My husband decided to buy his own metal stamps and metal to create his own piece for me only he was too afraid to mess up the silver he bought. He gave me the materials and I created my first piece. With a fractured foot, I had plenty of time to create. Since then I have added many other aspects to my work such as, torch fired enameling, etching, pewter casting and I continue to add to my education. What I love most about making jewelry is that I can incorporate all that I love about Art and the beautiful place that we live into one unique little piece.
