What you will see here are a variety of rugs made by different techniques, woven, tufted and hooked and a combination of all three. Many of the rugs are made with a shuttle hook, a wooden and brass hand tool distinctly American in origin (1870) and with a later hand tool, a Rumpelstiltskin hand needle dating from 1972, also American. I teach and also demonstrate rug making. I am sure that you will notice that the styles in which the rugs are rendered are eclectic and I make no apologies for this. It is both fun and a challenge to give a new twist on traditional designs and to let my creative spirit take me to where it will. Enjoy.
