Michael Chen’s a Magnum Photographer and Awards winning photographer. Constantly challenging himself to reach new frontiers. For more than twenty-five years, he has documented in over forty countries on six continents. Views the world through his lens looking for the peoples, cultures and places that time forgot.
Michael’s has been working as a Location Scout & Manager since 1992 for Hollywood Movie’s and Television Commercials. He also teaches photography workshops on travel photography and the photo-essay in Burma, Indonesia, Malaysia and New York.
Born in Malaysia and raised in Australia, he presently lives in New York with his family. Michael’s developed an inclination for the adventurous life at an early age. Having the extraordinary fortune to be the photographer for the Malaysian government. His exhibition titled “Without Boundaries” at the United Nations 2002 (New York headquarters) brought another dimension to his calling. Michael’s has works with foundations, educational venues and museums.
