Artist Highlight

Mauro Pozzobonelli has been a sculptor for over 40 years. In that time he has created over 3,000 individual portraits, inspiring monuments, numerous private commissions, and a collection of impressive relief artwork using a perfected technique developed from a life spent in sculpting. Mauro was born to struggling Italian parents. Through childhood play and youthful dreams, Mauro created his first simple sculpture by age 7 and fell in love with sculpting. He has since dedicated his life to history, sculpting, and the fine arts. He studied in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil and then later in Florence, Italy. He has spent a lifetime absorbing art and life in order to hone his craft.
