I am a full time, fine arts artist specializing in commissioned oil portraits, especially children! Portraiture has been my first artistic love my entire life, since I was a little girl. I sold my first oil portrait when I was twelve years old! I also enjoy painting “portraits” of the ocean. Having lived near or by the ocean my entire life, first in New Hampshire and Massachusetts, and now here in Florida, I study, photograph, and paint the ocean with as much passion as I feel towards my portraits.
I studied Fine Art at UNH and as a child I studied with Newburyport/Rockport master artist - Richard Gibney (a WWII combat artist and muralist). More recently I have studied with the renowned French muralist - Pascal Amblard (at The Finishing School on Long Island), Stephen Perkins (renowned sculptor), and John Houghton, Master Portrait Artist. I also studied with New England Master Artists - Adeline Goldminc-Tronzo and Dennis Perrin. I consider seeking out and studying with other artists, who have “something” I see in their art that I feel will add to mine, a critically important part of my artistic growth.
Now a full time Florida resident as of 2012, I was a member of the Newburyport (MA), York (ME), and Kittery (ME) Art Associations and am now a member of The Art Students’ Guild of Brevard and the Portrait Society of America.
