Artist Highlight

"Briefly trained by my mother, a South African artist, I discovered I could paint in December 1998 and wonder what took me so long. I have travelled the world and lived in four countries and, having emigrated from South Africa, now find myself and my family living in Virginia, USA. My travel experiences definitely inspire my painting. I particularly enjoy the rich colors and textures of Europe and Latin countries. As much as I enjoy the textures in doors, windows and walls, I love painting portraits, especially faces rich in character".
