"Welcome to Rustling Palms Studio! Sharing a love for making things with our hands, we often talked of working together on projects even though we were each creative in different mediums. Both of us had always been drawn to the inherent beauty of wooden items – the stunning grain patterns, the rich color tones - and discovered we had a mutual desire to learn how to turn wood on a lathe. Together we took a wood turning class and…..the rest is history!

We specialize in making high quality hand turned pens in a variety of styles and materials from ballpoint and rollerball to stunning fountain pens. With a nod to our technology oriented audience we also make styluses and stylus pens. All of our writing instruments are hand turned using distinctive woods from around the world, vibrantly colored acrylics – even deer antler. Each one is a unique, one of a kind creation.

In addition to pens we also handcraft exceptional badger hair shaving brushes, pepper and salt mills, a variety of kaleidoscopes, tea light holders, and new items are always being created on our lathe and scroll saw.

We take great pride in every item we make and use only the finest components. We craft each one as if it were a personal gift for a dear friend. Looking for a special gift? We will gladly make a custom order to fit your needs. Above all, our goal is to exceed your expectations.
