For me, a walk through Home Depot is as inspirational as watching a sunset. The aisles filled with cement, metal, roofing and building materials stir my imagination, as I think about new ways to use them. My work is a combination of various materials, textures and oil/acrylic paint, used to produce innovative pieces for both residential and commercial settings.
After graduating with a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree from the University of Hartford, I started my career as a textile designer in New York City. Two years later I was juried in as a resident artist at the Farmington Valley Arts Center in Avon, Connecticut. My studio is now located at the Torpedo Factory Art Center in Alexandria, Virginia, where I have been a resident artist since 1981.
