I am a second generation metal sculptor based out of North Royalton, Ohio-just south of Cleveland (the rust belt). At twelve years old I learned welding at the side of my father, metal sculptor Al Yano. All of my work is copper, brass, bronze and aluminum and most of the pieces can be hung either way, horizontally or vertically. I achieve the brilliant colors by using a mix of heat firings, acids, paints and dyes. Each piece is unique because the humidity and temperature have a great effect on the heating and drying processes. All my works are originals and have their own personality. Designs will often be repeated but no two pieces will ever be the same.
