Johnnie Grinder is a nomadic artist best known for his  pipe structures that symbolically connect memories, dreams, experiences, and knowledge. His work is most often acrylic on canvas as he works on creating narrative landscapes. These narrative landscapes are often biographical, dystopian, transformational, dreamy, and often surreal worlds. Words and symbols are  used in his art as neuro-linguistic tools of transformation or as an enhanced level of creative visualization.
Johnnie has been called a Dr. Seuss for the soul, a Willy Wonka meets Primus, or as Joseph Campbell's "Heroes Journey" on canvas.......Johnnie sees himself as an explorer of the "Tunnels of the Mind", on a journey through the magical labyrinth with his sketchbook in hand and his paints in tow.
