"Most months of the year I live in Arlington, Virginia, together with my husband Claus and a Labrador named Becca. The rest of the year we spend in Hamburg, Germany or travelling. I have a studio in both countries where I paint mostly landscapes and cityscapes. I also paint en plein air in the different locations I live in and travel to.
I painted from an early age, but began painting in earnest only until my late 50's. After a successful career as lawyer, researcher and international justice reform expert that took me around the globe, I decided a more balanced, creative approach to life was needed. Since than I have painted with several well known artists, such as Diane Tessler, Ted Reed, Fred Markham,Jill Banks and Patrick Kirwin. I am competing in plein air competitions and work with different galleries in the Washington DC area".
