Artist Highlight

"Drew Smith is an award-winning photographer experienced in nature, wildlife, travel, location, and fine art impressionistic photography. Drew splits his time between northern Virginia and northern Michigan, where in 2015 he founded the Focus Gallery in Frankfort, a charming town in the heart of the Sleeping Bear Dunes region on the shores of Lake Michigan. 

In addition to his operation of Focus Gallery, Drew exhibits at numerous art festivals in the Washington, DC region. He proudly produces his own prints on canvas and paper using top-quality archival materials and methods, overseeing the creative process from pre-visualization through final print creation with a demanding eye for quality. Drew also has extensive editorial experience, having served as Executive Editor of Nature's Best Photography magazine.

Drew's images have been published by the National Wildlife Federation (NWF), Audubon, National Parks magazine, Nature's Best Photography, The Washington Post, the U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service (US FWS), the National Wildlife Refuge Association (NWRA), Traverse Magazine, and the North American Nature Photography Association (NANPA), among others.
