Gug (pronounced, "Goog") has been a full-time professional underwater photographer since age 15, and has produced a portfolio of images spanning more that 60 countries. From vibrant coral reefs, to powerful sharks, to the minutiae of plankton in his Aliens Collection, the ocean is transformed into extra-large, luxury photographic wall art for his clients. With well over 100 career awards in major international photo competitions, Gug is the most awarded underwater photographer in the world - ever. The secret to this success lies in an uncanny ability to empathize and connect with marine wildlife. When asked how its done, the answer is a cheeky-sounding, but very honest, "It's 10% photographic skill, and 90% fish psychology". Its what comes naturally after a lifetime spent around, on, and under the ocean.
The artwork is printed on either radiant high-gloss aluminum or a luxurious semi-gloss metallic gallery wrap canvas, and each piece is custom-sized, printed & framed to your decor's specifications at his printing & production center a few miles inland from the gallery. His showroom art gallery is open 7 days a week, and is located in his hometown of Lauderdale by the Sea, Florida; a town that drew him in with its apt nickname, "the shore diving capitol of America". And yes, on most days, you can find him out back, diving, talking to fish, and capturing their portraits.
