"Ben'Jamin' brings his works to life"
Make what you like, don't try and make what you think someone else might like. . . . BenJamin was given this advice at the first art show that he attended; and it launched his curiosity to look inside himself and discover the artist that he has become. Thanks TW. This is what has led to my amazing steel aspen sculptural pieces.
BenJamin creates his metal art using raw steel plate, copper sheet, and a hand-held plasma torch to freehand cut all the details of his original aspen pieces. He then uses different patinas to color the metal and a clear sealant to keep it looking great.
In 2009 BenJamin had won awards at four of the six judged shows that he attended. This included Best Metal at the Boulder Creek Fine Art Tent, Jurors Mention at the Castle Pines Art Show, Best of Mixed Media at the Golden Fine Arts Festival, and a Judges award for Metal at the Castle Rock Art Festival. In 2011 BenJamin won 2nd best of Show at Arts in the Square in Frisco, TX. In 2013 BenJamin Won 'Best of Show' for Metalworks at Park City's Kimball Art Festival.
Living in Colorado, the incredible mountain vistas continue to inspire him in the same way that his work will enlarge your own interior landscape.
Come by and see my work, I love to share.
