"My greatest influence as an artist has been the hundreds of children and teens that I have had the privilege to teach throughout my career as an art teacher. Watching their creative process, spontaneity, and pure joy has been influential in my own process.
I am currently using landscapes as my form of reference and abstracting them through the use of color and shape. The resulting painting becomes a scene that can be familiar to the viewer within their own frame of reference".
