"I come from a family of artists, my grandmother and mother being successful artists from RI and VA. My grandmother studied at the Art Institute in San Miquel de Allende, Mexico.
I was living in Africa in 1994, decided to return to US and paint. That was all she wrote... here I am today 22 years later having lasted longer in this "job" than anything else I tried before. I started out on the West Coast US in Oregon, moved to Florida in 2010.
My work has progressed from decorative, traditional, colorful reproductions on wood plaques to one of a kind large, expressionistic/abstract work that is both calming, restful, peaceful, color-wise and psychologically. I work on 3-4 different bodies of work but there is a common thread in feeling in all of them. Basically, I decided to take a leap of faith and do work that moved and challenged me. I participate in juried, fine art festivals throughout the US predominately in Florida November-April, and North East states July-October".
