Albert Mollinea
Photography

Albert “MO” Mollinea is a Cuban born photographer based in South Florida.

In his own words:  “Picking up a camera gives me the opportunity to capture a specific moment in history and share it with others. Hopefully, that moment is unique and dramatic enough that it will inspire and create a strong emotional connection with the viewer.

I have photographed subjects for editorial and commercial clients such as Getty Images, National Geographic, Rolling Stone, GQ, Esquire, Details, Vanity Fair, Conde Nast, Laura Ashley, State Farm, Coldwell Banker, New Balance, Hotel Indigo, Kilwins, Kensey Girl, T-Mobile, PGA, Nordstrom and others.

My formal education was at the University of Miami. My real inspiration and knowledge of photography comes from working with photographers like Dusty Willison, Phil Bulgach, Barry Willis, and a brief (15 minutes) yet extraordinarily inspirational chat with Richard Avedon in New York City.

I was born in Placetas, Cuba and immigrated to the US at the age of 9 via the infamous “Freedom Flights.” My home base is in South Florida but I spend a great deal of time in New York City and the mountains of North Carolina.”
