Ideas Hatching

Made with clay and old book cut and folded. Those are real eggshells with book pages in them (Please click on the images to see the details.) I made Ideas Hatching as a reflection of an inspiration or an idea coming into fruition after lots of thinking and hard work. The figure is permanently attached. The book is securely mounted on a 16"x16"x2" Claybord panel. Wall hanging. All ready; wire at the back. Signed and dated by me (front and back.) Dimension: Roughly 16" wide x 6" deep x 16" tall. Please note that possible yellowing of the paper is part of the art that is my intention, although I sprayed a coat of UV resistant acrylic fixative on the piece. Note: to get rid of dust, use a hairdryer with NO HEAT. Or, a clean, dry brush will work.
