Crossroads Pendant

This hand-woven, oxidized sterling silver pendant hangs on a 3mm leather cord with a sterling silver swivel lobster clasp. It is a great addition to any handcrafted jewelry collection, and would make a lovely gift for those who enjoy contemporary art jewelry. The history of the pendant is as follows. In early 2010, I was chosen to create a piece of jewelry for inclusion in performer gift bags for the 2010 Eric Clapton Crossroads Guitar Festival (by Mr. Clapton's promoter, who had seen my work at a Scottsdale, Arizona-based art event). This is the design I decided upon -- I felt the weave structure and its linear pathway, echoed the idea of a crossroads, while the oxidized sterling silver lent an edgy vibe. The pendant was gifted to Eric Clapton and his wife, John Mayer, Sheryl Crow, ZZ Top, Albert Lee and BB King, among others. Although on my website it is listed as a men's pendant, it is equally suitable for women, and just as beloved by them!
