Artwork Description:
At the base of the Pyrenees Mountains in France is a system of caves. Some 15,000 years ago, Paleolithic man (caveman) painted inside these caves what are believed to be the very first paintings of man. If you look on the walls and ceilings of these caves, you can see depictions of animals running through the forest. The painting, Cave Dwellers, was inspired by these caves in France.
