Wood

Most fundamental to my art is the replication of fine detail found in nature... things commonly overlooked like the wrinkles of a rose petal, the twisting root system of an orchid, the delicate stamen of a hibiscus.  I have been an avid student of wood carving and have developed my own unique carving style based on technique, patience, and an understanding of my medium and tools.

My clients:

Many of my wooden art pieces can be seen and purchased at fine art shows.  If interested in visiting my art booth and seeing my current art inventory, please visit my Art Fairs page and request to be on my Mail List.  I send occasional emails with the latest news and my most current art show schedule.
Some of my pieces are custom made for private customers.  If interested in discussing a custom made display, please contact me by email or phone to discuss.  Most wood carved displays are made as wedding gifts, anniversary gifts, and special occasions.  I can custom carve your favorite subject/s in a beautiful wooden arrangement and also engrave personalized text on your display... wedding dates, a special message to a loved one, birth date, etc.
I started wood working and carving in the late 1990's as a hobby and began with personal carving projects, Polynesian tiki statues, and island jewelry.  Currently, I work at a woodworking studio, custom carving wood signs for homes and businesses across the United States.  And I sometimes have the opportunity to create furniture pieces including hand carved headboards, coffee tables, picture frames and more.  Only recently, I have begun to develop my finer art and crafts featured on this website.  I believe this to be my finest work to date.
