Dana Sardano
Painting

My name is Dana Sardano. Although I was born and raised in NJ, the first chance I had, I migrated to sunny Florida where I attended college. I graduated from the University of South Florida with a BA in Special Education and have remained in the field for the past 20+ years.

I presently work as the director of student development in a small private school in Boca Raton and reside in a beautiful little beach community in Lauderdale by the Sea, both of which bring me a tremendous amount of contentment. I am also recently married and have two beautiful little girls that are as spirited as their mother. My family is what drives me to create. It brings me so much joy that I am compelled to share it with the world. My inspiration is derived from the unique and profound bond that I share with each and every member.

My sweet sweet Nahla inspires me to create pieces that represent love and compassion and kindness. Nahla is such a gentle insightful soul that sees the world only through the eyes of love. My paintings exude her benevolent disposition and generosity of spirit. And Nadia, oh Nadia, my little spitfire- she instigates, provokes, pokes, prods, and arouses a fiery creativity in me that one could only understand after meeting her. Both of these little girls have introduced me to facets of my personality that had lain dormant for so many years. Their inspiration is why I create.

My husband Rob is not to be forgotten. My children give me the inspiration. My husband gives me the drive. His unwavering support and interest in my painting afford me the confidence to continue with this passion of mine. There is a tremendous amount of vulnerability that comes with expressing oneself in such a personal way, and this vulnerability is even more profound when sharing that expression with the world. My husband is the reason that I feverishly paint and the sole reason that I confidently and proudly share my art with you..

All of my paintings come from such a deep and powerfully loving place. I hope you receive their message with the same intensity in which it is shared.
