Lakeside Village in Lakeland will be Transformed into an Outdoor Craft Festival the 1st weekend of May April 2008, LAKELAND, FL – The open-air marketplace of Lakeside Village will be dotted with 1-hundred white tents filled with the best in craft for the Lakeland Craft Festival at the Lakeside Village. The outdoor 2-day inaugural craft festival is set to take place on Saturday May 3rd & Sunday May 4th, 2008. Admission is FREE. Local and national fine crafters will showcase handmade jewelry, 3-D acrylic paintings, one-of-a-kind pottery, ceramic planters, unique clothing, glass votives and much more, which are all made in the U.S.A. “We’re excited to have this cultural and community-related wonderful event in Lakeland, said Pat Westerhouse, marketing director, Lakeside Village. Eager to have another fine show in Lakeland, the Lakeland Craft Festival at the Lakeside Village, is expected to give locals and visitors a fabulous weekend suited for the entire family. The popular Green Market will showcase the best in orchids, scented candles and even kettle corn. Directions: From Tampa/Orlando: Take I-4 to exit 27 (Polk Pkwy.). Go E. to Exit 5 (Harden Blvd.) Make Left at light to show site (Lakeside Village) From South Florida: Take Turnpike N. to Yeehaw junction to Rt. 60. Go W. to Bartow & take 98 N to 570 (Polk Pkwy.)
