47th Annual Downtown Grand Haven Art Festival

Grand Haven becomes an outdoor Art Gallery

June 28th, 2008

MAY 2008, GRAND HAVEN, MICHIGAN – What began as a local art festival in Downtown Grand Haven is now a yearly welcomed tradition. The 47th Annual Downtown Grand Haven Art Festival takes place on Saturday June 28th & Sunday June 29th, 2008 from 10am – 5pm. Admission is FREE!

“We’re pleased to sponsor this wonderful event, which provides a festival atmosphere for all to enjoy,” said Joy Gaash, President, Chamber of Commerce Grand Haven.

Nearly 150 national and local award-winning artists were chosen through a jury panel to take part in this upscale show. White tents filled with an array of original masterpieces will clad Downtown Grand Haven for the 2-day outdoor event. Downtown is now used to coming alive for this summer art show, which is produced by Howard Alan Events, the largest art and craft show producer in the nation.

Unlike a typical gallery setting, the artists must be on-hand to show off their paintings, sculptures, jewelry, pottery and much more. All of the work on display will be available for purchase with prices ranging from $15 to $20,000.

Directions: Downtown in Grand Haven, Washington Avenue. Grand Haven is located 165 miles from Chicago, 20 miles from Holland-Saugatack and 35 miles from Grand Rapids.
