THE VILLAGES GEARS UP FOR A CREATIVE TRADITION SECOND TO NONE

December 28th, 2007 THE VILLAGES, FLORIDA – It’s back and bigger!

More than 200 local and national crafters will show off their creative work for the 7th Annual Villages Craft Festival, which takes place on Saturday, January 5th & Sunday, January 6th, 2008 from 10am to 5pm daily. This is one of the largest craft fairs in the country!

Admission is free of charge.

Thousands of visitors and villagers will pack Spanish Springs Town Square for the two-day event. “This is a perfect time for this event because we still have visitors here,” said Nadia Skertich, Town Square coordinator. “For locals, it’s close to home and they have an opportunity to see great and unique items.”

The Villages Craft Festival will showcase hand-made and US produced goods such as pottery, one-of-a-kind jewelry, woodworks, natural fragrances, unique gifts and much more! Best of all, folks can speak with the crafters personally, and be able to be a part of an event, which has now become a tradition.

The heart of Town Square will also be dotted with food vendors and live musical entertainment beginning at 12pm daily. “This has become one of our most well-received and biggest craft festival,” said Helayne Stillings, director of American Craft Endeavors, organizer of the popular event.

This event has become more than just a Craft fair, it’s a two-day craft celebration with some of the finest handcrafted goods created by local and national producers.
