ST. PETE BEACH IS TRANSFORMED INTO A WORLD OR ART
April 19th, 2008
APRIL, 2008 ST. PETE BEACH, FLORIDA – Sunglasses, sandals and a smile is all you need to enjoy the upcoming craft event of the season. The 5th Annual St. Pete Beach Craft Festival takes place on Saturday April 19th & Sunday April 20th from 10am to 5pm each day, along the white sandy beaches. Admission is FREE.
“This is a great event for everyone who loves the very best crafters have to offer,“ said Helayne Stillings, director of American Craft Endevours, producer of the event.
Corey Avenue in St. Pete Beach, located near Clearwater and Tampa, will welcome more than 100 of the nation's best contemporary crafters. This open-air craft fair will feature handmade jewelry, ceramics, pottery, personalized gifts and much more. An expansive Green Market lends plants, exotic flora and homemade soaps. All crafts on display are handmade in the U.S.A.
Local and national artisans were hand-picked by a group of judges. Like all festivals by American Craft Endeavors, the craft fair, will offer visitors the unique opportunity to meet exhibiting artists in person; commission a specific piece; ask questions about techniques; learn the sources of their inspirations; and purchase fine works of art at affordable prices.
Directions: Take I-275 to the Pinellas Bayway. Follow Pinellas Bayway west to Gulf Blvd. in St. Pete Beach. Turn right (north) on Gulf Blvd. and travel north to Corey Avenue (about 40 blocks). Turn right on Corey Avenue.
