Hollywood is a city in Broward County, Florida, United States. As of 1 July 2006, the population estimated by the U.S. Census Bureau is 145,879. Founded in 1925, the city grew rapidly in the 1950s and 1960s, and is now the tenth largest city in Florida. Hollywood is a Principal City of the South Florida metropolitan area, which is home to 5,463,857 people.

Hollywood is located in southeastern Broward County, and includes about 5-6 miles of Atlantic Ocean beach, interrupted briefly by a portion deeded to Dania Beach.
